The Small
Business
Management\Entrepreneurship
Program has been
designed to meet
the needs of
individuals who
own, would like
to own, or work
for a small
business.
Students will
have the
opportunity to
acquire the
necessary skills
to start, open,
grow, and even
sell their small
business
enterprises.
A comprehensive
business skill
set has been
designed into
this program to
prepare
entrepreneurs
for the
challenges that
small business
owners face on a
daily basis. A
special emphasis
is placed on
essential
management and
marketing
functions,
business
communication,
and the legal
environment of
business. In
the capstone
course of this
program, MGMT
130--Small
Business
Management,
students will
learn how to
prepare a
business plan
that could be
used to help
secure the
necessary
financing to
make a business
venture
possible.
Students must
complete the
9-class program
listed below to
be eligible to
receive the
Certificate of
Achievement in
Small Business
Management\Entrepreneurship.
*In order to
acquire the
Associates of
Science Degree
in Small
Business
Management\Entrepreneurship,
students must
also complete
the general
